Former elders: need some info
by bethel anorexic inwhen a publisher has just moved into a new cong, i understand that the secretary sends a request to the pubs former cong requesting their info and records.
is this a wt form or just a regular typed letter?
if it's a regular letter does it have to be on wt stationary to be legit?.

Thanks minimus.
So it sounds like a phone call request is not strict protocol, is that right? Is a letter request with no phone call commonly practiced?

I just found out that when a publisher moves in to a new congregation, the secretary of the new congregation actually has to pick up the phone and call the former cong's secretary to request the paperwork.
Now I'm wondering, has any elder/ex-elder here had a case where they didn't have to make a phone call but made the request with just a letter? Would the secretary of the old cong find that unusual?

Someone on this site is a congregation secretary or has the
ability to make your records seem to go to the right place, but really come to him, then he
can send them to you or the shredder. Is anyone here in a position to help me out with this?
Thx.

Can someone fill me in on this? I'm trying to remove all traces of my existence from my former congregation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can someone help?
by bethel anorexic inthis is my first post.. i was wondering if someone here can help me out.. i stopped attending meetings a while ago and i'm not comfortable with the idea of having the congregation elders in possession of my publisher card and other records.
would someone be willing to help me retrieve my records so i can just disappear completely from the jw-world?
perhaps someone here who is a current elder or an ex-elder?

Thanks. I certainly wouldn't be requesting help to break into the secretary's house.
But I was thinking along the lines of faking a move to a "new congregation" and have my records sent "there".
It would bring a certain degree of closure if this could be possible.
